Light of the World

Verse 1 The city shines with restless lights, But hearts are searching through the night. The world keeps chasing fading dreams, Still longing for what can't be seen. You called the weak, You called the few, To bear the hope that comes from You. Not by power, not by fame, But by the glory of Your name. Pre-Chorus Let every shadow disappear, As Your love draws us near. Chorus Let our light shine in the darkness, Like the morning after rain. May our lives reveal Your mercy, May our hope bear Your name. Where the broken search for answers, Let Your love become their way. Jesus, make us lights that lead them To the dawning of Your grace. Verse 2 A gentle word, a faithful heart, Can light a flame where hope has died. Every kindness, every prayer, Shows the world that You are there. When fear and silence fill the streets, Your peace is stronger than defeat. May our lives become a song That calls the weary to come home. Pre-Chorus Through every trial, through every fear, Your light is always here. Chorus Let our light shine in the darkness, Like the morning after rain. May our lives reveal Your mercy, May our hope bear Your name. Where the broken search for answers, Let Your love become their way. Jesus, make us lights that lead them To the dawning of Your grace. Bridge When the night feels endless, You are still the sunrise. When our faith grows weary, You are hope that never dies. Take these ordinary lives, Fill them with Your holy flame. May the world discover Jesus As they see us live Your name. Final Chorus Let our light shine in the darkness, Till the whole world sees Your face. Every step become a witness, Every heartbeat sing Your grace. You have called us, You have sent us, To reflect Your endless love. Jesus, shine through every moment, Light of heaven from above. Outro Shine through us... Lead us on... Till the night gives way to dawn. Jesus, You are the Light of the world.
