Tell Me He Ain’t the Antichrist

V5

[Verse 1 – The Sermon Begins] Brothers, sisters, bless your hearts, I need a word with you today, ‘Bout a man we’ve followed loudly in that loud, political fray. I’ve heard you say he’s chosen, I’ve heard “Cyrus” from this room— But prophets warned us long ago: false lights can look like bloom. Now asking isn’t doubting God — discernment is a sacred call, And questioning a leader’s fruit don’t make you faithless, not at all. So let your hearts be open, let your courage break the ice, ‘Cause it’s fair — and it is faithful — to ask: “Is he the Antichrist?” [Chorus] Tell me he ain’t the Antichrist, Lord, Tell me we’re not deceived, We’re Your flock and we are trying hard To judge by what we’ve seen. As shepherd of this little church, I guide them through the choice— Tell me he ain’t the Antichrist… But help us hear Your voice. [Verse 2 – The Warning] I’ve watched some worship anger like it came from Heaven’s throne, But vengeance is the serpent’s tool, not something we should own. He promised “retribution,” and the crowds all praised the fire— But wrath in human hands can twist the purest heart’s desire. And if a man loves darkness more than truth or honest light, If lies outnumber testimonies — saints, we gotta check our sight. The Bible never called us to ignore what’s cruel or wrong, So asking if he walks in sin ain’t weak — in fact, it’s strong. [Chorus] Tell me he ain’t the Antichrist, Lord, Tell me we’re not deceived, We’re Your flock and we are trying hard To judge by what we’ve seen. As shepherd of this little church, I guide them through the choice— Tell me he ain’t the Antichrist… But help us hear Your voice. [Verse 3 – The Reassurance] And listen, saints, hear this with love: Questioning a leader don’t make you left or weak or wrong. You can hold your values firm — faith, family, country strong. You can stay conservative in heart without a golden calf, You can honor scripture’s teachings without cheering every gaffe. Our God don’t fear your questions; He invites them, one by one. So if a man demands blind trust — that’s when discernment’s just begun. We’re called to watch for wolves disguised, to test each earthly voice, And sometimes truth begins with simply asking… “Did I really have a choice?” [Bridge – The Pastor’s Plea] So Lord, give us Your wisdom, let conviction guide our sight, Let courage overcome the fear of stepping toward the light. If this is just a season meant to teach us wrong from right, Then show this congregation how to stand without the spite. [Final Chorus – A Faithful Conclusion] Tell us he ain’t the Antichrist, Lord, But if the signs align, Give us strength to trust in You, Not any man’s design. We can walk in truth and conscience, We can choose a steadier way— ‘Cause faith ain’t blind allegiance… It’s seeing clear, and still obey.
