'SHE IS MY LIGHT'' I hear her cry , so I go to her room, She's under the covers in the gloom, Her mom and I haven't been getting along too good, I get her the weekends when I could, So I'll comfort her and leave her alone, But she always says , Daddy leave the light on, (chorus) She's all I got , and I'm all hers, But much more than this I know she deserves, To pick her up and take her back there, Has all become , too much for her to bare, But she knows I love her, and won't leave her alone, And that she is my light that I leave on.... So again I'll read her to sleep, Only to be awaken later when I hear her weap, And I'll go to comfort her again, And re-assure her that her little heart will mend, She agrees and tries to be strong, And says , when that day comes Daddy, You won't have to leave the light on.......
