[Intro] There's a battle every day Not with fists and not with swords The Bible tells us how to stand Put on the armor of God [Verse 1] First comes the belt of truth Hold on tight to what is true Then the breastplate of righteousness Guard your heart in all you do Put on the shoes of peace So you're ready where you go Carry God's good news with you Let His love be what you show [Chorus] Put on the armor of God Stand strong, stand firm, don't run Truth and righteousness, peace and faith And salvation through God's Son Take the Word of God with you And pray through everything Put on the armor of God And stand strong in your King [Verse 2] Take the shield of faith When the enemy throws his darts Trust in God when fear comes knocking Hold His promises in your heart Take the helmet of salvation Remember who has saved you Take the sword of the Spirit That's the Word of God that's true [Chorus] Put on the armor of God Stand strong, stand firm, don't run Truth and righteousness, peace and faith And salvation through God's Son Take the Word of God with you And pray through everything Put on the armor of God And stand strong in your King [Bridge] Truth! Righteousness! Peace! Faith! Salvation! God's Word! And prayer! We're not fighting people We're learning how to stand When the world gets loud around us We can trust God's plan [Verse 3] The armor isn't magic It's not something that we wear It's learning how to trust the Lord And knowing He is there So when you're scared, remember When temptation comes your way Stand firm in what God's Word says And don't be moved away [Final Chorus] Put on the armor of God Stand strong, stand firm, don't run Truth and righteousness, peace and faith And salvation through God's Son Take the Word of God with you And pray through everything Put on the armor of God And stand strong in your King [Outro] Stand strong Stand firm Keep your faith Know God's Word Put on the armor of God And stand
