[Verse 1] Out in the big rock candy mountains Past the peppermint fence line Where the scarecrows wear silk jackets And the scarecrows feel just fine All of the chooks lay hard-boiled treasures Straight into wicker trays Breakfast is ready the second you wake No waiting No cooking Just play [Chorus] In the big rock candy mountains (hey!) Where the cows eat steaks all day Sip their own chocolate milkshakes By the marshmallow bales of hay Ducks keep raking up the rainbow leaves Pigs fry caramel on the side In the big rock candy mountains We just laugh and slide [Verse 2] There’s a lemonade river by the gumdrop trees Licorice ladders to the sky Every old wagon’s made of cookie crumbs Every kite’s an apple pie Pigs wear aprons in the sugar kitchen Hummin’ as the skillet sings (ooh) They plate that caramel bacon up With cotton-candy strings [Chorus] In the big rock candy mountains (come on) Where the cows eat steaks all day Sip their own chocolate milkshakes By the marshmallow bales of hay Ducks keep raking up the rainbow leaves Pigs fry caramel on the side In the big rock candy mountains We just laugh and slide [Bridge] So if your shoes feel heavy And your town feels small and gray Close your eyes Count three Step through To where sugar clouds float your cares away (woah) [Chorus] In the big rock candy mountains Where the cows eat steaks all day Sip their own chocolate milkshakes By the marshmallow bales of hay Ducks keep raking up the rainbow leaves Pigs fry caramel on the side In the big rock candy mountains We just laugh and slide In the big rock candy mountains We just laugh and slide
