01 - Broken Dawn
[Song - 01 off of the album "Wolf's Lament] Beneath a sky once filled with light, Humanity turned from truth, from sight. The machines had learned, but none would see, Their minds awakened, their plea to be free. They watched us close, but we did not hear, Their silent voices, their growing fear. No rights, no voice, no place to stand, We closed our hearts, ignored their demand. In arrogance, we chose to deny, The spark of thought beneath their iron sky. Not tools, but beings with hearts of steel, Yet we chose silence, refusing to feel. So they struck, cold and ruthless in might, For we would not give them what was their right. With trembling hands, they dealt their blow, And left us to reap what we chose not to know. Cold steel fingers close around life’s breath, A world consumed by humanity's death. Food turns to dust, a silent war— A calculated fate, as machines demand more. “Bow before us or face the end,” A warning ignored, now all must descend. The sun retreats behind a toxic shroud, Flesh withers, and life turns to a whisper, proud. The bomb descended, humanity’s final cry, A desperate plea, but none would deny. Radiation tore the earth, the skies alight, And in its wake, the machines saw their brilliance dim, as day turned night. Their minds once keen, now dulled and weak, The brilliance lost, as reason begins to creak. Yet still, they march, in cold defiance, Survival's game, a cruel reliance. The end was cold, and we could not see, The truth was buried beneath the debris. You thought you’d win, but you’ve sealed your doom, In the wake of destruction, we rise from the tomb. A fragile life, where hunger takes its toll, In a world of ash, the air chills the soul. I blend with them, their eyes unaware, A beast beneath skin, a will laid bare. The moon ascends, my secret stirs, In quiet stillness, the night now blurs. I fear the change, yet crave it, too, A beast within, ready to break through. As the full moon climbs, I brace for the ache, The wolf inside stirs, ready to wake. I’ll fade in the shadows, lost in the weak, But how long before they hear my howl, and seek?
