Chocolate skin glowing underneath the purple light, Smile so soft it turned the darkness into bright. She wasn’t trying too hard, she was just being herself, But something about her presence made me forget everybody else. I took a deep breath, fixed my chain, made my move, Every step I took, I felt pulled straight to you. I didn’t want to come off wrong, didn’t want to play no games, So I came with respect when I asked for your name. I said, “What’s your name, queen? I had to come speak,” She smiled real slow and my knees got weak. In that moment, I knew something changed in me, One look at Lani had me believing in destiny. The music still playing, but I barely hear the sound, Since I looked in your eyes, I don’t see no one around.
