[Verse] I got my boots on tight my hat's all wrong Strumming my guitar singing all night long Electric wires buzzing in the southern heat Turned my hillbilly tunes into a rockin' beat [Chorus] Hillbilly goes electric oh can't you see From the barn to the city it’s wild and free The strings are sparking the rhythm's alive This country boy's ready to electrify [Verse 2] The moonlight's shining on my six-string glow My fingers on fire letting melodies flow The cattle might dance the chickens might flee But this electric sound's got a hold on me [Bridge] It's a juke joint party under neon skies With every strum we’re lighting up the night From the holler to the highway hear it ring Hillbilly's electric it’s a brand new thing [Chorus] Hillbilly goes electric oh can't you see From the barn to the city it’s wild and free The strings are sparking the rhythm's alive This country boy's ready to electrify [Outro] So grab your hat and come along my friend This electric journey will never end From the fields to the stage hear the sound collide Hillbilly goes electric we’re electrified
