Through the frost, I see your face Reflections caught in window grace Words we left beneath the snow Still warm in the places we used to go (“we used to go…”) The carols hum in the midnight air We pretend we don’t still care Every step feels like rewind Back to a love we left behind December lights (“lights”) Still shine where hearts reunite (“reunite”) In the quiet glow of faded time (“of faded time”) We find the rhythm we left behind (“hold me closer / just tonight”) Your scarf still carries years of rain And every glance begins again We talk like strangers in disguise But Christmas knows the truth in our eyes (“truth in our eyes…”) The candles flicker, rooms grow still Old feelings bloom against our will No need for gifts, no need for lies Just quiet warmth beneath the sky [Solo] December lights (“lights”) Still shine where hearts reunite (“reunite”) The city sleeps, but we’re alive (“we’re alive”) We find the rhythm we left behind (“hold me close, don’t fade tonight”) (“ahhh… December lights… tonight…”)
