Jesus

(Intro) Yeah Ayy From the grave to the throne From the cross to the crown Jesus reigns now (Verse 1) I was dead in the dark, had a stone-cold heart Running from the truth, tearing my whole soul apart Thought I had freedom chasing lust, chasing fame But sin got chains and they all got names Pride in my veins, anger in my chest Trying to find peace but I never found rest Then Christ stepped in with the scars in His hands Said, “Follow Me son, I got better plans” Not a weak King, no He rules with might Spoke worlds into existence like, “Let there be light” Every star in the sky knows the sound of His voice And every sinner saved knows grace ain’t a choice Mercy came down while I hated His name Still He carried my guilt and He carried my shame Perfect Lamb slain, blood fell like rain Now the tomb rolled open and He broke every chain (Hook) Jesus Christ, King Above Kings Name so holy make the heavens sing Death got crushed when He rose that day Now the lost get life through the narrow way Hands to the sky, let the whole world know Only one Savior and His name still glows From the cross to the grave to eternity Jesus my Lord, yeah He set me free (Verse 2) Hated by Pharisees, Crown of thorns on His brim. Crowds yelled “Crucify!” while the soldiers watched Him Crown made of thorns pressed deep in His head Sinless Son of God hanging there half dead But even on the cross He was showing grace Told the thief beside Him, “You're gonna see My place” That’s love no human mind can explain Holy blood spilled just to wash our stains Three days later hear the earth quake hard Stone rolled away from the front of the yard Angels standing there like, “Why seek the living?” Cause the resurrected King still healing and forgiving Now He's seated in glory at the Father’s right hand Every nation every ruler under His command One day every knee is going to bow for real Every tongue confess what the Scriptures reveal (Hook) Jesus Christ, He's the King Above Kings Name so holy make the heavens sing Death got crushed when He rose that day Now the lost get life through the narrow way Hands to the sky, let the whole world know Only one Savior and His name still glows From the cross to the grave to eternity Jesus my Lord, yeah He set me free (Bridge) Not religion, this redemption Not performance, resurrection Not my works, I could never pay Only Jesus made the way Alpha and Omega Lion and the Lamb Nails in His hands Still holding this man (Outro) Yeah To the One who conquered sin and death Forever and ever Amen
