Keep Them Close

[Verse] Saw the news this morning Damn I can't believe it It's such a shame It was a blessing I just hope she feels peace Hope she knows we love her [Pre-Chorus] Why do we only show love when someone's dyin'? [Chorus] It's a shame that we gotta do it now Ain't a reason we shouldn't tell 'em now Give them their flowers while they can see it We ain't gotta wait 'til it's a weekend Give them a reason to smell the roses And let them know they're your loved ones Keep them close Keep them close [Verse 2] We all have moments Sometimes it takes a little more than good advice Just need to feel love Just need to feel alive Just need a little more than "You gon' be alright" [Pre-Chorus] Why do we only show love when someone's cryin'? [Chorus] It's a shame that we gotta do it now Ain't a reason we shouldn't tell 'em now Give them their flowers while they can see it We ain't gotta wait 'til it's a weekend Give them a reason to smell the roses And let them know they're your loved ones Keep them close Keep them close
