Verse 1 In the days of kings and kingdoms falling, Isaiah heard the holy calling. He saw the Lord upon His throne, High and lifted, glory shown. "Holy, holy, holy," cried the hosts above, A vision of justice, a vision of love. Though Judah wandered, hearts grown cold, God's faithful promise would still unfold. Pre-Chorus Though judgment comes like a storm in the night, God's mercy shines with eternal light. Chorus Oh, Isaiah sang of a coming King, Hope for the broken, healing He'd bring. Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Through Him the chains of sin would cease. From sorrow to joy, from ashes to flame, The nations will worship His glorious name. Though darkness falls and kingdoms fade away, The Word of the Lord forever will remain. Verse 2 Nations trembled, empires rose, Yet God alone directs the road. A remnant kept by sovereign grace, Preserved to see His saving face. A shoot from Jesse, humble and small, Would rise to answer heaven's call. The wolf and lamb together stand, Peace restored throughout the land. Bridge He was wounded for our transgressions, Bruised beneath our great afflictions. Like a lamb led silent to the tree, He bore our sin and set us free. By His stripes we are healed today, The Servant took our guilt away. The grave could not hold redemption's song, Our God has made the weak ones strong. Final Chorus Oh, Isaiah sang of a coming King, Hope for the broken, healing He'd bring. Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Walking the path His prophets trod. And one day every tear will dry, New heavens and earth beneath His sky. From Zion's hill to eternity's shore, The Lord will reign forevermore. Outro Holy, holy, holy is the Lord... The earth is filled with His glory. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord... Forever tells Isaiah's story.
