Paragon of Paranoia (Remastered)
Gather 'round, my lovely sinners, lend a mischievous ear, A tale of glorious folly I think you'd like to hear. It's about a king of panic, a god of endless fright... So pull up a chair, my darlings, and bask in second-hand light. Let's hear it for the one-eyed wonder, my intellectually-blind brother! Traded a good eye for a cryptic book, too paranoid to take a look! Now he's got some poems and a permanent squint, The wisest of the wise? Darling, he's just... quaint. He hangs from spears on Yggdrasil, like some Christmas ornament, All that drama, for some runes that say: "Still incompetent." His list of fears is a bestseller, a masterpiece of dread, Scared of the sun, the moon, his shadow, and what the tea leaves said! He's frightened of his grandkids, and the squirrel that runs the Tree, Honestly, at this point, he's just scared of you and me. Oh, what a Paragon of Paranoia, a sovereign of scare! He's memorized the ending and now he's tearing out his hair! He's crafting spells and sigils to bar the closing door, But the only one he's locking out is peace forevermore! Yeah, hail the Lord of Overthink, the architect of doom! His legacy's a self-made, everlasting gloom! He's scared his feathered tattletales might take a different flight, Left with just his thoughts for once? Now that's a chilling sight. He's scared of death, he's scared of life, he's scared of Loki's kids, (Which, between you and me, fair enough, I'll admit I did some bids...) He's striving to preserve our souls, a most exquisite aim! Too bad his "magnum opus" is a slow, exhausting flame. He thinks his pain's poetic, a profound and sacred art! Please. It's a tacky, self-made doom-loop, right from the very start! He's scared of Fluffy, scared of Slithers, scared the sun will crash! Pardon, but perhaps your governance lacked a certain... diplomatic dash? Ever think your parenting style's the reason things are tense? You can't just ground the world-serpent and get no consequence! So let him sit upon his throne, and polish all his fears. He's been composing his own end for centuries and years. It's not my fault he reads the script and trembles at the lines. I just... ad-lib the parts that make him whimper and repine. Goodnight, Paragon of Paranoia. Hope the voices sing a tune... That haunts you through the darkness night until the morning moon.
