[Verse 1] I found a pebble in my shoe I kept it like a treasure too Mum said, "What will you do with that?" I said, "I'll keep it in my hat" Tiny stone, big tiny shine It was mine, all mine, all mine I held it up to catch the sun And said, "Look, it's already fun" [Pre-Chorus] Hold it close Don't let go Little hands Make things glow [Chorus] Lantern in my pocket Lantern in my pocket It makes me feel so brave Lantern in my pocket Lantern in my pocket I can light my own way (La-la-la) I can light my own way [Verse 2] Then I met a boy named Ben He had mud all on his chin He said, "Can I hold that shiny thing?" I said, "Yes, if you help me sing" So we marched right down the lane Tap-tap-tap in the morning rain Two small voices, same old tune We made a little marching moon [Pre-Chorus] Hold it close Don't let go Little hands Make things glow [Bridge] If I stumble, if I fall I hear your voices through it all One by one, and all as one We rise up like the morning sun (Oh-oh) we rise up like the morning sun
