[Verse 1] I guarded it throughout the night, it brought the tourists in just right. But then my Boss has lost our fight, and shut the whole damn thing outright. The opera had become a mess, and i said "my bad" in distress. But Ape, the new guy, failed the test, with mega voice, yet none impressed. A distress call, i sent it out, that drew the guests from all about. Two butterflies came flapping out, I clenched my fists and gave a shout. [Pre-Chorus 1] But JustACrewmate spoke to me, he said, "I'm sorry for what's to be." [Chorus 1] Two butterflies, with whims so smart, were judged to have no taste for art. They know no script, they know no plans, yet charge ahead with reckless hands. The stage is ready, lights are bright, I think it's finally time tonight. The final show must now succeed, though they cause a wild stampede. [Vocal Interlude] [Spoken Bridge 1] (short radio static) Earth to RSS Butterfly. We found the opera's history online. It's interesting… Apparently, the head of the opera got depressed, because one of his employees insulted him terribly. That's why the opera went bankrupt… You made it in time for the farewell performance. So behave yourselves!… Earth out. (short radio static) [Verse 2] The stage was meant to dark and grim, but those two changed it on a whim. They took their brushes, prim and trim, and painted flowers to the brim. JustAPianist with glow, plays a phantom organ show. Jellee mimics Romeo, and Tankeh Juliet, high and low. The Captain painted every face, neon pink in every place. The glitter sparkled, trail by trace, the stylist quit and fled whith haste. [Pre-Chorus 2] Ape just looks at me in fright, while I can only stare outright. [Chorus 2] Two butterflies, with whims so smart, were judged to have no taste for art. The whole hall's been rearranged, the extras all have been exchanged. I think we'd better start the show, before this madness starts to grow. The final show must now succeed, though they cause a wild stampede. [Vocal Interlude] [Spoken Bridge 2] Ape… Why is your back all pink?… Never mind. Listen… I know these guests aren't quite an audience, But there's JustAHeadhunter among them. This is it… This is our chance. I'm with you, my friend. So put the chips aside… the bananas too… And now go out there and show them what a performance is. [Final Verse] Then Ape raised his voice, so clear, and silence captured every ear. I felt a shiver drawing near, as flying hopes banished my fear. The butterflies froze in the breeze, time stopped for them with perfect ease. The crew all fell upon their knees, as Ape’s grand song began to tease. The tears came pouring down in streams, a bargain sale of sobbing dreams. I nodded proudly through the beams, we finally reached our highest schemes. [Final Pre-Chorus] At last the lights all faded out, and thunder filled the hall about. [Final Chorus] Two butterflies, with whims so smart, were judged to have no taste for art. But out of chaos, art was born, from every wrong turn came the dawn. The messy past was left behind, the perfect piece was now aligned. The final show had found its way, even if they changed the play. [Vocal Finale] [Spoken Outro] (short radio static) RSS Butterfly to Earth. Hallelujah… It is a miracle… We found a way to keep the two of them somewhat in line. Ape's voice is so good that they actually listen when he sings. We hired him right away as the crew singer… And Markadier, now guards our ship at night. But first, they still have something to take care of… We will bring them there. RSS Butterfly out. (short radio static) <----- Styles -----> Theatrical Gothic A Cappella fused with Dark Cabaret and Opera Buffa, performed entirely by human voices. Massive, resonant male basses and baritones create a dark cathedral-like foundation, with one extremely deep basso profondo sustaining powerful low drones and rhythmic vocal bass. Several strong male voices build dramatic gothic harmonies, ominous chants, theatrical accents and exaggerated cabaret phrasing. A very high female operatic soprano must remain present throughout the entire song as a haunting, ethereal background layer, using sustained legato notes, ghostly harmonies and occasional delicate coloratura. Add vocal percussion, mouth clicks, breath pulses and theatrical vocal effects. Verses should feel sinister yet mischievously comic; choruses become grand, absurdly majestic and operatic. Spoken passages are intimate, dry and theatrical. Build toward an emotionally overwhelming operatic climax for Ape's singing, while keeping the darkly humorous Gothic atmosphere. <----- Meta-Tags -----> [Spoken Intro - dry theatrical male dialogue, deadpan, faint ghostly soprano] [Verse 1 - deep male ensemble, dark vocal bass, restrained cabaret rhythm, high soprano drone] [Pre-Chorus 1 - rising male harmonies, deep bass tension, eerie sustained soprano] [Chorus 1 - huge gothic choir, booming bass, vocal percussion, theatrical cabaret, soaring soprano] [Vocal Interlude - deep bass drone, rhythmic mouth percussion, ghostly soprano glissandos] [Spoken Bridge 1 - filtered radio-style male voice, dry delivery, faint dark choir] [Verse 2 - playful dark cabaret vocals, bouncy bass rhythm, comic harmonies, high soprano] [Pre-Chorus 2 - nervous male harmonies, sudden pauses, questioning soprano] [Chorus 2 - heavier gothic choir, deep bass pulses, manic vocal percussion, theatrical soprano] [Vocal Interlude - massive low choir, rhythmic vocal hits, dark soprano arpeggios] [Spoken Bridge 2 - intimate exhausted bass voice, encouraging tone, soft soprano underneath] [Final Verse - solemn operatic choir, powerful bass foundation, emotional crescendo, constant high soprano] [Final Pre-Chorus - expanding operatic harmony, rising basses, brilliant sustained soprano] [Final Chorus - monumental gothic choir, ultra-deep bass, full male harmonies, triumphant Opera Buffa, ecstatic soprano] [Vocal Finale - sustained cathedral-like male chord, ultra-low bass, fading ethereal soprano] [Spoken Outro - dry radio voice, understated comedy, faint low choir and soprano]
