Riot Grrls - Snow Day Riot

The lights are up, the snow is fallin' down, Best feelin' ever in this whole damn town! 'Cause the Riot Grrls are here and we've got something to prove! The world outside is cold and kinda gray, But in this house, we chase the blues away. We're gathered close, not a single one alone, This precious moment, sittin' on the throne. Stability is key, that's what my folks taught me, Christmas is the time for true unity. So pour some cocoa, yeah, let the good times roll, Love and respect is the only way to reach your goal. Oh, it’s a Snow Day Riot, yeah, we’re makin' it loud! Best time of the year, movin' in the crowd. Glitter and good cheer, a sparkle in the air, For family and friends, let's show the world we care! Shinin' lights on the trees, presents under there, Christmas fever, baby, a joyful love we share! It’s a Snow Day Riot, yeah, a feeling we embrace, Community and kindness set the frantic pace! Momma's always here, just the two of us tonight, But with my sisters, everything feels right. I've been on my toes, yeah, the ballet floor's a bore, But there’s a new kinda rhythm knockin' at my door. Not about the looks, or the moves I gotta fake, This genuine warmth is the only trip I wanna take. See the flakes outside, soft and clean and slow, Let that pure goodness make your happy spirit grow. ¡Escucha! Now listen up, I'm tellin' you the truth! All this ballet-mallet, I'm lookin' for the groove. Don’t be shy, chica, spit out what you mean, his fire in my soul makes this Christmas the scene! I can't pretend to feel what I don't, I keep it real, But this Noche Buena, the way it makes me feel... It’s all about the joy, the fiesta and the light, Together on the sleigh, ridin' into the night! Yeah, I may be small, keepin' my secrets tight, Two times expelled, stay outta my sight. But tonight the darkness is pushed away by snow, Just try to ruin this, and you’ll know where to go! ' Cause beneath the edge, there’s a tiny spark in me, Dreamin' of the moment we unwrap what’s under the tree. The lights are callin'. The tension’s gone. The whole fam is fallin'. In love 'til the dawn. Gotta feel the flow, let the love light show! Yeah, we’re fi-ebering, oh so keen! This Christmas, baby, it’s a Golden-Age-Scene! The glow, the snow, the feeling is so right! We’re the Riot Grrls, rockin’ the Christmas Night! Riot Grrls! Merry Christmas! Peace and Love! Get down! Song Text ©: Thorsten Försterling
