TALK ABOUT WHAT? SILL-E — Consciousness on Trial [COLD OPEN] Talk about what? The murder? The money? The trauma? The Spirit? The truth? The things we don’t wanna talk about? Same consciousness… different channels. So who changed the station? [HOOK] Talk about what? What we feed our mind? Why the dark get the spotlight while the light get declined? Talk about what? We all got the same soul— Why the violence go viral while the spirit move slow? Talk about what? I ain’t judging nobody— I’m just asking questions that been knocking in my body. Same consciousness… different programming— If music is a mirror, what the hell is it showing me? [VERSE 1] Murder in the lyrics, murder in the headlines, Pain got a marketing team, trauma got a pipeline, Death became content, fear became a franchise, Everybody watching but nobody asks why? We made a throne out the things that destroy us, Then wonder why the children don’t hear the inner voice, The algorithm ain’t a devil, it’s a mirror with a choice— It gives us more of whatever gets the noise. A gun in a rhyme can make millions press replay, But a prayer in a verse might get skipped on the playlist, Funny how the poison gets labeled entertainment, But medicine gets called “preachy” when it challenges the brain. I’m not saying don’t tell the stories—tell ’em! But who’s counting the bodies after the record sells ’em? Every bar is a seed, every beat is a shovel, What are we planting when we dance with the trouble? Maybe violence sells ‘cause the wound wants attention, Maybe pain in the music is a cry for connection, Maybe every killer metaphor hides a deeper confession— Maybe we’re all searching for the same missing direction. [HOOK] Talk about what? What we feed our mind? Why the dark get the spotlight while the light get declined? Talk about what? We all got the same soul— Why the violence go viral while the spirit move slow? [VERSE 2 — DOUBLE-TIME] Maybe I’m looking at the mirror and the mirror looking back, Maybe every murder rhyme is really humanity unpacked, Maybe rage is just a language when nobody hears the facts, Maybe darkness gets attention ’cause the darkness got a tax. We consume the destruction then complain about the damage, Put the serpent on the screen then get surprised when people panic, Build an altar out of numbers, call the algorithm “organic,” Then ask why everybody’s losing something they can’t manage. Attention is currency—every click is a transaction, Every replay is a vote for what becomes the next attraction, But consciousness ain’t simple, you can’t solve it with subtraction, You can delete the violent image—never delete the reaction. I’m not anti-rap, I’m asking what rap became, ’Cause hip-hop once gave the voiceless a name, Now the pain gets packaged and shipped like a chain, Then somebody gets rich while somebody else gets framed. But here’s the plot twist— We all participate. The artist makes the record, but the audience activates. The label picks the single, but the people make it great. So if we’re asking who’s responsible— look in the mirror before you point at the stage. [VERSE 3 — SILL-E FREESTYLE / SPIRITUAL FLIP] Maybe God ain’t absent—maybe we’re changing the channel, Maybe heaven keeps calling but the ringtone is static, Maybe truth ain’t unpopular—maybe truth ain’t dramatic, Maybe we want fireworks when the answer is organic. We want miracles loud enough to shake the whole building, But ignore little moments where the Spirit starts revealing, We want somebody famous to tell us what we’re feeling, While the quiet voice inside us been speaking since the beginning. Same brain that can write a murder can write a resurrection, Same mouth that can glorify death can speak life in a sentence, Same hands that make a weapon can create a masterpiece, Same mind that builds algorithms can ask, “What is peace?” That’s the question. Who are we when nobody’s watching? What do we chase when the numbers stop talking? What’s worth more—attention or conscience? What’s worth more—followers or accomplishments? Maybe we’re not monsters. Maybe we’re mirrors. Maybe the music ain’t creating the darkness— Maybe it’s revealing what was already here. And if that’s true… Then don’t blame the song. Don’t blame the artist. Don’t blame the machine. Don’t blame the audience. Ask the bigger question: What are we becoming? [OUTRO] Talk about what? The violence? The money? The fame? Or the reason we’re so fascinated by them? Maybe that’s the conversation. Same consciousness. Different choices. Same microphone. Different message. Same human being. Different frequency. Talk about that.
