Little Fire (Remastered)

[Verse 1] Rika runs where the salt winds rise with the dusk in her hair Every road behind her burns but she swears she does not care Mother, do not follow I am not your little flame But the sand beneath her footsteps keeps whispering her name [Verse 2] Bare feet on the dune line salt in her throat, no home Rika keeps moving even when the dark calls close Kezia’s voice on the wind soft as a hand in flame But the sand keeps turning and it knows her hidden name [Pre-Chorus] There is fire in the hollow there is fear behind her teeth The dunes are full of listening the silence is not asleep Every shard within the ruin sings when she passes by There is something in the crystal waking underneath the sky [Chorus] Rika, Rika run through gold Rika, Rika brave and cold Little fire lost and known The desert calls you are not alone Rika, Rika across the sand Rika, Rika take my hand Mother calls and the world pulls back Rika, Rika don’t look back [Verse 3] She sleeps beneath the broken stones with her hand around a blade Dreams of towers, dreams of blood dreams of choices yet unmade She was taught to be small to bow like the reeds do But her bones are a doorway and the dusk is moving through [Pre-Chorus] She feels the earth tilt open a pulse beneath her feet The dunes are full of listening the silence is not asleep Kezia, far and fading still reaching through the dark But the deeper call is stronger and it’s marking her heart [Chorus] Rika, Rika run through gold Rika, Rika brave and cold Little fire lost and known The desert calls you are not alone Rika, Rika your name won’t fade Fire in the blood and the night will break Rika, Rika across the sand Carry the storm become what you can [Bridge] I am not the child you carried I am not the name you knew But somewhere in the burning dark I am still reaching back for you If love is not a chain then let it be a star Let it find me in the waste no matter how far [Breakdown] [Female Chorus] Rika little fire Rika running higher Hear the stone hear the sand take the blade open your hand In the well of the world in the hush of the sand Love is a lantern held in one hand [Final Chorus] Rika, Rika rise through gold Rika, Rika brave and bold Little fire come undone Daughter of the waking sun Rika, Rika lost and known Rika, Rika not alone Through the fear through the flame The world remembers your secret name Rika, Rika across the sand Rika, Rika take my hand Not a child of the desert but its burning, chosen hand [Outro] Kezia, I hear you far beyond the air And something older whispers I am almost there Crystal breathing in the night sand beneath her burning bright Rika turns and lifts her eyes far away, the dawn replies Rika... Rika... Little fire who I am
