How things change... and how things change us... Before, to see me... you were consumed by haste; now, haste... seems to have drowned... if you see me... fine, and if not... nothing. How things change... and how things change us. Before, you ran out of time... the clock never stopped... now, it seems not to move... as if the batteries... had run out. How things change... and how things change us. Before, the sun shone... even when cloudy... the sun shone... now, it’s always cloudy, the sun seems to have fled... to another galaxy. How things change... and how things change us. Before, you loved me—I’d say... you adored me; now, you neither adore me... nor love me, and the thing is... how things change... and how things change us. How things change... and how things change us. Before and now... How things change... Things...
