FIRESTARTERS (feat. The Cherry Thieves) Single of forthcoming new album Voice: Amanda Lyrics by MIIKA (c) May 2026 --------------------- I saw a spark in the dead of the night Tiny little rebel burning quiet and light Everybody said, “Keep your head down low” But the walls were dry as dust And the wind began to blow You spoke one word And the room leaned in Like a match struck hard Under tired skin Oh-oh You don’t need gasoline Just one heart One dream We are the firestarters Lighting up the dark for miles Let the flames keep rising higher From the corners of the sky We are the firestarters Started as a whisper in the underground Now the city sings it back like a thunder sound Every locked door shaking on its hinges Every cold soul dancing at the edges You can feel it move Like electricity Running through the wires Underneath the streets Oh-oh Nobody stands alone When the embers glow Everybody knows We are the firestarters Lighting up the dark for miles Let the flames keep rising higher From the corners of the sky We are the firestarters <SOLO PART> If hope is contagious Let it spread If love is courageous Raise it up instead No more waiting for the world to change We are the current running through the veins And every spark we leave behind Becomes a sun for someone else tonight We are the firestarters Burning brighter than before Every heartbeat getting louder Every locked mind opening doors And the flames keep rising higher Now the whole world’s glowing gold One idea became a movement Now nobody walks alone We are the firestarters We are the firestarters “One spark… one spark…” “Watch it light the world…”
