What If Jesus Was the Serpent

V6

[Intro] Yeah… What if the story got flipped? What if the serpent wasn't the villain? What if the one they told you to fear Was the one who wanted you thinking? Yeah… let's question everything. [Verse 1] What if Jesus was the serpent in the garden? What if every warning was a question from the startin'? What if forbidden fruit wasn't evil in disguise, But a symbol for awakening the mind behind your eyes? They said, “Don't touch,” they said, “Don't know,” But curiosity kept knocking at the door real slow. What if the snake wasn't plotting your demise? What if he was whispering, “Wake up, open your eyes”? What if Eden was a kingdom built on silence? What if knowledge was considered an act of defiance? What if freedom always came with a price? And the serpent was the first one telling humans, “Think twice”? Then centuries passed, stories got rearranged, Heroes became villains and the villains got their names. Maybe I'm not saying that the theory is true, I'm asking what happens when you question what you're told to? [Hook] What if Jesus was the serpent? What if truth looked wicked on the surface? What if Heaven's gate had a curtain, And the one they called evil was the one who made you certain? What if the snake had a message in the dark? What if Eden was the beginning, not the mark? I'm not saying that I know what it's worth— I'm just asking: what if Jesus was the serpent? [Verse 2] What if the cross ain't the end of the story? What if every symbol got buried underneath the glory? What if redemption ain't as simple as they claim? What if every generation just keeps rewriting names? You can call me reckless, you can call me confused, But a question ain't a crime just because it ain't approved. If faith is strong, why fear investigation? Why does doubt get treated like contamination? I walk through the myth with my eyes wide open, Every sacred sentence got a door left broken. I ain't here to preach, I ain't here to convert, I'm digging through the questions underneath the dirt. If the serpent brought knowledge, then what does that mean? Was the garden paradise or a beautifully guarded dream? If Jesus taught people to challenge the powerful and proud, Could the serpent symbolize breaking free from the crowd? [Hook] What if Jesus was the serpent? What if truth looked wicked on the surface? What if Heaven's gate had a curtain, And the one they called evil was the one who made you certain? What if the snake had a message in the dark? What if Eden was the beginning, not the mark? I'm not saying that I know what it's worth— I'm just asking: what if Jesus was the serpent? [Verse 3] Now the room gets quiet when I start asking why, Everybody got an answer but nobody asks why. Labels on the box, doctrines on the shelf, Everybody got a map but they don't question who drew it themselves. If the serpent represents wisdom in another tradition, Why does one story make him evil by definition? Maybe symbols ain't simple, maybe meanings evolve, Maybe every generation gets a different problem to solve. What if the serpent represents transformation? Shedding old skin, leaving fear and limitation. What if Jesus represents rebellion against the throne? Speaking for the outcast, telling people think on their own? Put those two images together, what do you get? A contradiction that'll make your whole worldview sweat. Not a claim, not a doctrine, not a prophecy— Just a question crawling underneath theology. [Bridge] Maybe the serpent is fear. Maybe the serpent is wisdom. Maybe the serpent is temptation. Maybe the serpent is freedom. Maybe Jesus is the answer. Maybe Jesus is the question. Maybe every sacred story Was designed to test perception. [Verse 4] So I step in the booth with the midnight mentality, Breaking down symbols with philosophical brutality. No crown on my head, no preacher in my ear, Just a microphone and every question they fear. What if the villain was never who they said? What if the serpent was a metaphor instead? What if the garden represents the birth of awareness? What if knowledge came with loneliness and unfairness? You don't gotta believe me, that's not the point, I'm putting pressure on the story at every joint. Gangster flow, but the weapon is thought, Every bar is another little chain getting caught. No violence necessary, I'm battling ideas, Turning old assumptions into smoke in the atmosphere. If truth survives questions, then let the questions ring— If it can't survive scrutiny, then what was the thing? [Final Hook] What if Jesus was the serpent? What if truth looked wicked on the surface? What if Heaven's gate had a curtain, And the one they called evil had a different purpose? What if Eden wasn't punishment at all? What if the serpent was the first one to make humanity evolve? I don't claim the answer, I just question what I've heard— What if Jesus was the serpent? [Outro] No answers tonight. Just questions in the dark. Sometimes the truth ain't found Until you question the story from the start
