Violence Don’t Pay Interest

V5.5

Violence Don’t Pay Interest [Intro — Spoken] Every generation inherits somebody else’s war… But nobody asks… Who benefits from keeping it alive? ⸻ [Lesson One] They told us fear was a form of respect, That a name gets bigger when the neighborhood feels threatened. That the fastest way to rise was to make somebody fall, But nobody talks about what happens after it all. The candles burn down. The flowers fade away. The same streets wake up to another day. Another mother staring at a phone. Another father learning how to be strong alone. And somewhere somebody says: “That’s just the way it is.” But who decided? ⸻ [Reflection] Everybody talks about the damage violence leaves behind… But nobody asks what it was supposed to build in the first place. ⸻ [Hook] If blood was money… Every cemetery would own the skyline. If pain created wealth… Every broken family would be living like kings. The bullets never learned economics… They spend everything… And build nothing. ⸻ [Lesson Two] Every generation inherits somebody else’s war, Old wounds wearing new faces walking through the same doors. A story gets handed down, A fear gets passed around, A grudge becomes a family heirloom Nobody remembers choosing. We protect the anger, Then wonder why it grows. We water the garden… Then blame the flowers when they show. ⸻ [Bridge] Maybe the strongest person isn’t the one who wins the fight. Maybe it’s the one who asks: “Why am I fighting this battle?” Maybe breaking a cycle Is the loudest victory nobody hears. ⸻ [Final Hook] Violence don’t pay interest… It only collects. It takes tomorrow To settle yesterday’s debts. The bullets never learned economics… They spend everything… And build nothing. ⸻ The Mirror The mirror don’t judge you… It just shows you what followed you home. And sometimes the hardest thing to face… is realizing the thing we inherited… is the thing we were supposed to end.
