Girl on the sphere
[Instrumental introduction] [Verse 1] A girl upon a sphere, she keeps her balance still, As if she’s in a dance, controlled by iron will. Her hands rise in the air, so weightless and so slow, As if someone above keeps turning Earth below. She never even blinks, her pose will never sway, Still standing on the sphere while tears just fall away. They’re dripping to the ground, her eyes are filled with pain, Life’s full of miracles—but one step breaks the chain. [Verse 2] If she could step away, just lose her mind and run, Through puddles in the rain, beneath the open sun, To laugh without a care, to fall into the grass, Not fearing dirt or time or moments as they pass. But breathing feels so hard, her heart is full of weight, A world of dark and dust, a cold and empty fate. She dreams to be a bird, to fly across the blue, To feel alive again, to love like dreamers do. [Verse 3] But she is forced to stay, she cannot move at all, So artist paints her form upon a canvas wall. He sells her fragile pose for money, fame, and gold, While she receives a dream that barely can be told. She thought that this was fair—the payment for her role, A film of love and fire, of passion in her soul. She waits there just for him, the one who knows it all, Who’ll whisper truth of life and hear her silent call. [Verse 4] The one who speaks of love, so real and deep and bright, Who takes her to the stars and shows her endless light. So gentle and so warm, so tender and so true, Who never disappears to chase somebody new. She hopes she will not fall, still standing on that line, And find within the stars a happiness divine. To steal a little piece and hide it in her chest, To share it with her love, to finally find her rest. [Verse 5] She’s standing all alone upon that fragile sphere, A crowd inside the hall has gathered just to stare. They see her painted grief, her sorrow and her pain, And carry home the weight of what they can’t explain. The sphere begins to shake, it rolls and disappears, The artist never saw her in the coming years. No one knows her fate, what path her life may show, Perhaps she found her love somewhere we’ll never know. She’s happy now, in love, still fighting for her way, Believing in her truth, no matter what they say. She’ll never lose that spark, she’ll hold it deep within— We all stand on this world, just trying not to spin. [Bridge] Each of us stands on a world of our own, From children to elders, we’re never alone. Some are afraid just to fall from the line, While others just dream how to fly and to shine!
