Midway upon the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway had been lost… Before what became of what, of who, of how things were done, before people began to multiply, back to the basics of one. Before man spoke his first lie there were roots deep in the center of this place, this place we found ourselves after being abandoned by what we thought were our people. The word hadn’t yet been spoken to existence, but nothing menaced in the shadows, no need had been created to disturb the silence given; at that time you and silence could be one. What was before that, before time, before the time came that you couldn’t be one with silence, that people needed noise and distractions and screens so bright you can’t see anything else… Midway upon the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark… There was a time before all the chaos became necessary, before the quiet was mistaken for peace— it simply: dark, absent of light, absent of the need to call it something different. It just was, it’s what we knew, and that’s where we grew, in silence, not needing to speak. We could feel frequencies in the air, the vibrations that resonated within us. There was no law, no rules to be broken, no justice— it was just us. And then the curse came… it ruined us all, it ruined everything. We could no longer just simply be, no longer agree; it was no longer enough for you or me, and changed the way forever. The arguments came over anything— anything that was said, anything that was done. Everybody wanted to be heard but no one wanted to listen to anyone. For the straightforward pathway had been lost… Cause the nonsense never fu-kk-en quits, and I’m all about keeping my fu-kk-en wits. You assigned the associated characteristics to each thing you called out by its name, but the power wasn’t given to you— you had heard the Creator speak of these things before, so you repeated what you previously heard. And so a system began. Soul coming into the world doesn’t remember where it came from, it’s not familiar with the language, not familiar with the rules, not familiar with how things are done— so you take power to an extent, you are the one that enforces the rules: “I want to be feared, the one to be adhered, and this is the way things are always done.” “Midway upon the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark…” I say that life and death must have married, and from that union came what if and because. What if had many children, because had many children, and those children married each other— so what if and because become what is and what is not. And they had children, and what is the union of that? What is and what is not becomes the normal everyday, and scripted actors play. For the straightforward pathway had been lost, but some of us long to go back to the cave, back to the basics of one, to roots deep in the center of this place, to the time you and silence could be one…
