Unbearable Pleasure
Intro] ah ah ah [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Melodic Chorus] [Melodic Chorus] I was on my first retreat A bare beginner there to receive the Master's Grace. But what did he do? He left for far away on that very first day. [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] It was just me and 3 others doing the incredibly boring retreat Long recitations, with great words But after lunch We just wanted to sleep And we sang together, the sacred songs with everyone out of tune! [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] It felt like torture every day, I couldn't even pray. All I could do was barely stay. [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] Finally it was over And I happily went home A much brighter sun shone I felt deep peace, heart rest A level of hidden stress had gone that day. [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] So I made my way to our irrigation pond as a way to respond to take a little swim and enjoy the brilliant sun. [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] As I lay on the water Feeling the silent peace I rolled over on my back, [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] Suddenly, I was coming undone I was opening wide like a lotus flower, petal, by petal expanding outside all limits I had known brilliant Living Light poured like the hearts True Sun into my deepest core. [Operatic] [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] I was gone in Unbearable Pleasure the kind mind and body are not ready for. No me there for how long? [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] [Female Voice] Without huge growing I could not stay I heard the first words of my mind returning: [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] [Female Voice] "Is it right to feel such PLEASURE" These are the dreadful words I heard. The return to the mind at war with Unbearable Pleasure, the Free State. [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] Tapas is a word for hard spiritual practice that allows gifts of Grace [Female Voice][Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] While he was gone, the Master had done it all for me. The tapas and the graceful Samadhi [Female Voice] [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] I was not prepared in any way to do demanding practice And least of all to stay In that Unbearable Pleasure [Female Voice][Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] This was quite a gift and lesson about what I am preventing by simply being my usual self. [Operatic] [Singing Verse] [Melodic Chorus] [Female Voice][ It made clear the need to embrace tapas to endure bordum doubt and discomfort instead of distraction And it is true to say, Divine Gifts grow this way. [otro] ah ah ah [end]
