Death Nesting - Remembered In Green

Lay me down where the soil still breathes, among roots that twist like memory. No marble stone, no polished grave, just moss to mark the life I gave. The cedars whisper, “Welcome home,” the earth becomes both flesh and bone. Insects carve their hymns through me, a sacred hymn of entropy. I will not burn, I will not be sealed, let the forest write what I revealed. My blood returns to the roots unseen, I’ll be remembered in green. No sterile halls, no silver knives, just soil to honor these borrowed lives. The herbs will bloom where I was laid, medicine from the bones they made. Every death a seed to sow, every wound a place to grow. What I carried, let it fall, the forest takes and heals it all. I will not burn, I will not be sealed, let the forest write what I revealed. My blood returns to the roots unseen, I’ll be remembered in green. I’ll be remembered in green…
