Blue Syrup(Jeux d’eau)

This piece is based on my own performance of Ravel’s Jeux d’eau. I remastered a work I had released about five months ago using SUNO and then refined it further in my DAW. ♡ In a shimmering hush of summer air, I sat on my father’s knee— Mother nearby, smiling in the breeze, the three of us, waiting for fireworks. He made shaved ice with gentle hands, drizzled with syrup, blue and bright— sweet as the evening light. Spoonful by spoonful, I watched the sky bloom. Sparkle, sparkle— vanishing stars of flame. No sound, just wonder. Until the sky turned pale as day in one last burst of white. Then came the bath, and then came sleep. Nothing more— and nothing less than a memory of kindness, long forgotten, hidden deep. * Now beside me, a flutist and a player of strings, whisper through the drifting wind: “You couldn’t remember before— because it still hurt. But your father waited until you were strong enough to hold the memory without pain.”
