[Verse 1:] The summer was so great, the sun was shining bright The park air oh so sweet, like ice cream, what a sight! And then she rolled around, on three wheels with a squeak My ice cream van lady, a dream for every sheik! [Chorus] Where did you go, my soft serve queen so grand? Last summer was our thing, we had it in our hand! October winds blow cold, the leaves are falling free My heart goes "crack" because your van I cannot see! [Verse 2:] We met down by the stand, with raspberry and vanilla swirls Your smile was oh so creamy, in this lonely world of girls That's what I was searching for, through all the dreary year With every little scoop, my heart held you so dear! [Chorus:] Where did you go, my soft serve queen so grand? Last summer was our thing, we had it in our hand! October winds blow cold, the leaves are falling free My heart goes "crack" because your van I cannot see! [Bridge:] I trudge back home, my shoulders hanging low Autumn is a drag, the park's an empty show! No more the little bell, no "What can I get for you?" The ice age is now done, I'm feeling oh so blue! [Guitar solo, short and melodic with a punk rock vibe] [Chorus:] Where did you go, my soft serve queen so grand? Last summer was our thing, we had it in our hand! October winds blow cold, the leaves are falling free My heart goes "crack" because your van I cannot see! [Outro:] But what is this I see? By the exit, standing there! Not with her van, no way, she's waiting... love beyond compare! Our love is so much bigger, it's clear for all to view, Than any darn old truckload of sugary stuff, it's true! [Song ends with a quick drum roll and a final guitar chord]
