This is a short "tiktok song" I was working on before leaving. I decided to recreate it using the new Studio. It's a big game changer for me and it's soooo exciting. However, I still have a LOT to learn. I'm considering publishing only once a week in the near future because I want to start mastering this new tool in order to create the best possible songs I can with it. We'll see how it goes... No commitment yet. I did use Studio 2 last week for my last song, but it was quick and I played it very safe. So here's my first real attempt. And hopefully my worst. I should get much better at it soon. I really enjoyed this process and I think the song is pretty fun. --- I snapped the second the silence got too loud Tore the smile right off my face and fed it to the ground Every quiet year just turned the pressure up Now I'm choking on the man I tried to become I kept the piece until the peace started killing me Bit down harder every time they asked for more of me Built a quiet little prison and I lived in it for years Now I'm burning every wall I built to keep me here I swallowed every word until my throat turned black Nodded along while my insides turned to glass Sixteen years of smiling with a loaded gun Wore the mask so long I couldn't feel the sun On my face I'm done I'm done being quiet I'm done I kept it in I kept it in till it rotted Now watch it come out Rip it out Rip the silence out my throat Rip it out No more smiling No more biting Down No more holding It I'm letting It out No more smiling No more biting Down No more holding It I'm letting It out I buried him quiet Now I'm digging him up I gave him my life Now I'm taking it back I put the gun in his mouth and kicked open the door Then put a bullet in his head and watched myself hit the floor
