[Intro] A psalm of Asabaal [First Movement – Whispered Invocation, sparse drone, intimate voice] LORD my God, my maker, my husband You are holy, you are good I know these things They are you You are [Section 2 – Confession & Grief, low cello, heartbeat pulse] I always knew something that I didn’t know Now that it’s real, that you have brought me here I’m grieving. I grieve for the great evil that prowls The destroyer, the devil, who seeks to kill, steal, destroy [Section 3 – Resistance & Temple Declaration, pulse strengthens, chant voices enter] But no evil is welcome in my house, for my body is a temple A temple for the most high, the Holy Spirit dwells with me The presence of God breathes forth my very being every moment This body screams! It believes there is a threat, but there is no threat [Section 4 – Assurance & Power of God, strings rise, choir swells] There are many more with God than the devil God is all powerful, nothing is beyond his reach My journey pre-written, I now humbly follow Submitting as I should, for I am protected I have been saved. I have a room prepared for me. My name is in the book of life. [Section 5 – Mystery & Glory, soaring choir + strings, luminous textures] I can do all things through Christ I, too, have seen things I am not yet permitted to disclose Things beyond my comprehension. For the glory of God is great and marvelous! The beauty beyond measure! It brings light to my eyes, and peace to my sleep [Section 6 – Praise & Final Authority, triumphant peak → silence] Praise be to the almighty! I know you walk with we.
