[Verse 1] The zoo The zoo Let's all go to the zoo The kids will all go ape We'll go bananas too The car ride is long The parking is a pain We make it through the gates But our efforts are in vain [Chorus 1] 'Cause the giraffes are all hiding The flamingos flew away The penguins have migrated And the pandas are on holiday The parrots ain't parrotin' And the prairie dogs have burrowed down And the kangaroos have hopped away And the elephants are not around [Verse 2] The zoo The zoo Let's all go to the zoo The animals are all hiding But at least we have the view Of the hills And the trees And the grass And the sky And the concession stands where the prices are way too high! [Chorus 2] And the monkeys are missing The iguanas have evaporated The otters aren't swimming The alligators have abdicated The dolphins aren't diving And the crocodiles are cranky The rhinos aren’t thriving And the bears are hibernating And the sea lions have totally escaped [Verse 3] The zoo The zoo Let's all go to the zoo The animals are hiding and we're getting a little blue But it's a zoo A zoo And we're here at the zoo The animals are hiding let's hope that no one sues [Bridge 1] But Look The ducks Let's all look at the ducks I mean The ducks are everywhere And I guess that that's a plus There's one There's two There's three There's four There's a hundred thousand ducks and not much more [Chorus 3] 'Cause the ostriches are elsewhere The armadillos aren't around The alpacas are alighting And the lions have all left town The warthogs are walking away And the meerkats are merely gone And the cheetahs have all run off And the zebras are invisible... [Verse 4] The zoo The zoo Let's all go to the zoo The animals are all hiding But at least we have the view Of the hills And the trees And the grass And the sky And the concession stands where the prices are way to high! [Bridge 2] But Look The squirrels Let's all look at the squirrels I mean The squirrels are everywhere And I guess that that's a plus There's one There's two There's three There's four There's a hundred thousand squirrels and not much more... [Outro] We’re at the zoo…
