[INTRO] Yeah... You can leave Fontucky. But can Fontucky leave you? That's the question. WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIDESIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! [HOOK] Fontucky state of mind, Where the streetlights hum, Where the bass hits heavy and the weird shit comes, Fontucky state of mind, Paper crown on tilt, Built from cracked sidewalks, bad jokes and stubborn will. Fontucky state of mind, West Coast in the blood, East Coast in the drums, Horror in the mud, Fontucky state of mind, You can travel worldwide— But some places get inside you. That's Fontucky inside. [VERSE 1] I got that Fontucky state of mind, where the afternoon feels dusty, Where the sun cooks concrete and the parking lots get crusty. Strip mall philosopher, Carhartt courtroom scholar, Khaki-clad monarch with a notebook getting darker. I don't need a mansion. Give me a beat and a folding chair. Put a microphone in my hand and watch the atmosphere change there. I can make a convenience store sound like a palace. Make a cracked curb sound like an ancient monument if the cadence is balanced. That's the difference between location and perspective. Some people see a neighborhood. I see a fucking perspective. Every power pole's got a story. Every boulevard's got memory. Every old storefront looks like it survived three different centuries. I'm exaggerating. Obviously. That's part of the fun. Take ordinary California and turn the volume up to one hundred and one. Bass crawling. Kick knocking. Electric piano sounding like the night forgot to sleep. I got fictional smoke floating through the cabin while I'm scribbling sixteens that refuse to keep peace. Not peace literally. Peace between syllables. Every bar wants territory. Every rhyme wants space. Every punchline walks in with a shit-eating grin on its face. That's the Fontucky state of mind. Half comedy. Half nightmare. Half "what the fuck?" Yes, that's three halves. That's how the math works when the Paper Crown King is writing. [VERSE 2] I remember summer evenings when the pavement stayed hot, Cars rolling past slowly, music shaking the block. Somebody yelling from a porch. Somebody fixing a car. Somebody arguing about something that nobody remembers tomorrow. That's atmosphere. That's texture. That's where the details live. Not in some fantasy mansion where everybody's dressed to impress. Give me the cracked paint. Give me the crooked sign. Give me the parking-lot light flickering on time. Give me the old work truck with the dashboard rattling. Give me a beat with enough bass to make the rearview mirror travel. That's my cinema. No Hollywood budget. Just imagination and an unreasonable amount of fucking confidence. I wear the paper crown because the contradiction is funny. Royal title. Cheap material. Big ego. Small budget. That's the character. And the minute somebody thinks the costume is the whole story— I change the subject. Because underneath the jokes is a writer with a microscope. I examine every syllable. Every vowel. Every consonant. Every little place where the cadence can become dominant. You hear the line. I hear the machinery. You hear the punch. I hear the setup. You hear the rhyme. I hear three more waiting behind it. That's why my verses don't need a gimmick. The gimmick is already how fucking detailed I get. [BRIDGE] Fontucky after sunset. Bass underneath the street. Streetlights blink twice. Then the drums repeat. Crown still crooked. Notebook still alive. Somewhere in the darkness— another rhyme survives. [VERSE 3] Now the beat turns sinister. Reversed choir underneath. Metal rim crack. Bass gets thicker. That's when I start thinking like a lyrical troublemaker. I got the fictional .45 in the character mythology, but every round gets fired from the fucking vocabulary. No instructions. No real targets. Just imagery in a verse. The weapon is the metaphor. The ammunition is the curse. That's how I keep it cinematic. That's how I keep it strange. Turn a simple neighborhood night into a psychological maze. Smoke rolls past the window. Streetlight cuts the haze. I stare at the notebook like I'm studying a crime scene. Then I realize— Nah. It's just another page. Another blank battlefield. Another opportunity. Another chance to make a phrase do something unexpected. I don't need to be the loudest. I need to be unmistakable. That's the whole Fontucky doctrine: Be strange enough to become memorable. Be technical enough to become respected. Be funny enough to make the arrogance forgivable. And be honest enough to admit the crown is fucking paper. That's the secret. The kingdom ain't real. The character ain't real. The throne is plywood. The parade is cardboard. The mythology is exaggerated. But the writing? The writing has to stand. Because when the beat cuts off and the scratches disappear, all the costumes vanish. No crown. No khakis. No Carhartt. Just a microphone and whatever the fuck you wrote. That's the final test. And I still got pages. WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIDESIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! [FINAL HOOK] Fontucky state of mind, Where the streetlights hum, Where the bass hits heavy and the weird shit comes, Fontucky state of mind, Paper crown on tilt, Built from cracked sidewalks, bad jokes and stubborn will. Fontucky state of mind, West Coast in the blood, East Coast in the drums, Horror in the mud, Fontucky state of mind, You can travel worldwide— But some places get inside you. That's Fontucky inside. [OUTRO] You can leave the city. You can change the street. You can take the crown off. You can turn off the beat. But if you learned how to turn ordinary life into extraordinary rhyme— That shit travels with you. Fontucky state of mind. Paper Crown King. Still writing. Still weird. Still here. DJ— CUT.
