I thought: “If Suno can generate endless vocal fragments, wouldn’t it be interesting to break languages apart with the help of AI?” I used to make music in a DAW, but I often struggled with my own lack of musical sense. I simply couldn't like the songs I made myself. Suno is different. If I just throw an idea at it, somehow it turns into something that actually sounds good. We live in a good age for music. The title “Break voltoj” originally came from a different idea. I thought something like “Break lang” — a linguistic version of breakbeats — might be interesting. Since Esperanto is an artificial language, I decided to use an Esperanto word for “language.” However, my research was apparently flawed. The word “voltoj” is actually the plural form of the electrical unit Volt. But at that moment, for me, “voltoj” became a word that means “all the languages of the world.” Many of the tracks include English and Japanese translations of the lyrics at the end. But those translations only represent the structure I designed while creating the songs. Listeners are free to interpret them however they wish. Just like how “voltoj,” for me, came to mean language itself. Finally, I would like to end with the only line here that has a clear meaning. I can't remember where I first heard it or where I saw it, but it has always been my favorite phrase. “Never forget the feeling of prayer.”
