[Intro] They whisper that a lady shouldn’t spin the way I do… But the tarantella’s got me now — and I don’t care if they do too… [Verse 1] The music starts its crawling up the back of my neck A poison I was never meant to taste, but I can’t reject They’re watching from the corners with their tight and pious smiles While something wild and ancient wakes between the drums and tiles [Pre-Chorus 1] I feel it in my ankles, burning up my thighs The fever doesn’t ask, it simply opens up my eyes My breath is getting ragged, my thoughts are turning thin The rhythm’s got its teeth in me — and it’s pulling me in [Chorus 1] Bite me harder, spin me off the ground Tarantella claims me — above the knee She won’t let go — she’s got a hold on me [Verse 2] They pray for quiet women with their ankles crossed and tame But every stamp I hammer sets their precious order into flame The sweat runs down like secrets that the night cannot contain And every turn I take is breaking every rule they made [Pre-Chorus 2] I feel the venom rising, I feel the edges break The careful world is fading and I don’t want to be saved My body isn’t mine now, it belongs to the beat The spider in the music has me tangled — oh so sweet [Chorus 2] Bite me harder, spin me off the ground Tarantella claims me — above the knee She won’t let go — she’s got a hold on me [Bridge] Faster… faster… I can feel her in my veins Faster… faster… Nothing left to restrain No mercy, no control Just the rhythm taking hold Bite me deeper, make me whole Tarantella — own my soul [Final Chorus] Bite me harder, spin me till I break! Tarantella claims me — above the knee! Let them watch the fire that the tarantella made The tarantella owns me — and I’m finally free! Spin me faster, burn the old world down I’m not the girl they knew — I’m the poison now Tarantella claims me — above the knee! Tarantella — take me completely! [Outro] Above the knee… Above the knee… She’s got me now… And I don’t want to be… free… --- Lyrics © 2026 TrixTuneX All Rights Reserved.
