Dumb Fight at the O.K. Coral (The Grand Tour S01E10)

[Intro] (Acoustic country guitar strumming, country fiddle intro, then a heavy Southern rock slide-guitar riff hits hard) [Verse 1] The big white tent is standing under Nashville's neon light The home of country music is welcoming the night The crowd is wearing cowboy hats and cheering for the show As the British boys step on the stage, ready to let it go [Verse 2] But first we cross the ocean to the Eboladrome track Where a beautiful Italian car is fighting way on back The Alfa Romeo Giulia, the Quadrifoglio name Five hundred horsepower, ready for the racing game [Verse 3] A twin-turbo V6 engine that screams into the wind It has no proper traction control, the tires are getting thinned Jeremy is smiling as the smoke begins to rise Sliding through the corners with madness in his eyes [Verse 4] It’s loud and it is tail-happy, a pure and uncut ride He loves it more than BMWs, he says it with great pride The lap time on the leaderboard is fast enough and neat A true Italian masterpiece upon the tarmac sheet [Verse 5] Now the main adventure starts under a Caribbean sun They arrive in sunny Barbados, but not just having fun The government has asked them to help the ocean blue To build a brand new coral reef for fish and turtles too [Verse 6] The plan is very simple, as old cars often die They want to sink the empty shells where coral reefs can lie No engines and no oil inside, just metal frames and steel To make a breeding ground for fish that looks and feels quite real [Verse 7] Jeremy has brought a boat, a shaky old design While Hammond has a jet-ski that is looking very fine And James is building structures on the sandy coastal shore To hold the rusted car parts down upon the ocean floor [Verse 8] But loading up the old cars is a catastrophic mess The local crane is tiny, creating heavy stress The first car drops right through the deck and cracks the wooden floor And Jeremy is shouting as the boat drifts from the shore [Verse 9] They tow the heavy metal out into the deep blue sea But keeping things from sinking is as hard as it can be The waves are rolling heavy, the wind begins to blow The cars are shifting violently, moving to and fro [Verse 10] Jeremy’s big boat is taking water in the back The weight of all the rusted steel is making timber crack He’s pumping out the ocean with a tiny little hose While Hammond sits and laughs at him, watching how it goes [Verse 11] They drop a white Peugeot into the water blue But it flips upside down right there, not what they meant to do It floats away like garbage upon the sunny tide Racking up the damage to their environmental pride [Verse 12] Then James May tries to help them with a floating crane design But the ropes are getting tangled and they snap right down the line The whole ecosystem experiment is turning into mud With middle-aged presenters sweating tears and greasy blood [Verse 13] They finally get some metal down into the sandy deep A graveyard for the motorcars where fish can safely sleep It wasn't very elegant, it wasn't neat or clean The clumsiest conservation work the islands ever seen [Verse 14] Back inside the Nashville tent, the crowd is laughing loud At how they ruined paradise and shocked the local crowd They talk about American cars, the trucks that are so wide That people use in Tennessee to travel side by side [Verse 15] In Celebrity Brain Crash, the music stars are near Brian Johnson from AC/DC is walking with a cheer But just before the studio, a sudden crash is found He gets run over by a car, dying on the ground [Verse 16] The tenth track is slowing down, the island sun has set The reef adventure is a story they will not forget From Alfa tire smoke to the Caribbean blue The traveling circus moves along to find a highway new [Verse 17] So play the slide guitar tonight and let the drums beat loud The Nashville country rock is done, we leave a happy crowd Three presenters bickering about a sunken frame The Grand Tour truck is rolling on to play another game [Outro] (Fast energetic Southern rock guitar solo, heavy country fiddle scratching, big drums crashing, fading out with a guitar twang)
