[Verse 1] In the heart of the forest stood tall and free, A whisper of snow on each emerald leaf, The moonlight crowned it, proud and bright, A promise shining through the night. A thousand trees around stood still, But this one glowed upon the hill, As if it knew its destiny, To light their home and hearts with glee. [Chorus] They found the perfect Christmas tree, A gift from earth, from sky, from memory, They cut it down with trembling hands, And brought it home through frozen lands, It filled their house with evergreen, A spark of hope, a timeless dream, And love was lit for all to see, Around the perfect Christmas tree. [Verse 2] Their roof had leaks, the floorboards creaked, Their fire burned low, their voices weak, But laughter rose when candles gleamed, where shadows danced now faith was dreamed. They hung old bulbs, a paper star, A threadbare angel from years afar, And in that glow, they came alive, Their hearts reborn, their souls revived. [strings solo] [Bridge] Years have gone and winters fade, But stories bloom from joy they made, That little home still stands today, Where light and love refused to sway. And every child who hears the tale, Can almost feel the snowy trail, Where faith was found in simple things, And hope returned on angel's wings. [strings solo] [Final Chorus] They found the perfect Christmas tree, Not in gold or luxury, But in the love that set them free, Around that perfect Christmas tree.
