Sometimes under pale moon light My arms behind my head I wonder if on some future night I'll lie awake in bed With someone there asleep beside me Her arm beneath my head I'll remember how on nights long past How I'd lie awake in bed Hoping she'd be you I poured it all into you Don’t you know there is nothing that I wouldn’t do? The silence just reminds me Of what I thought was true (I poured it all into you) If I knew what to say I'd say it If I knew what to do I'd do it Can’t just sit at home Waiting for the phone to ring The night feels endless, But I can’t do a thing All of the poetry Spoken in bed Comes from the heart And not from the head I poured it all into you Don’t you know there is nothing that I wouldn’t do? The silence just reminds me Of what I thought was true (I poured it all into you) I chase old echoes, I chase old dreams Still caught in the silence between (I poured it all into you)
