[Intro] [Whispering] You hear that? …They're talking again. Don't answer them. [Verse 1] Four walls closing in, but the room ain't getting smaller, Voices in my head getting louder when it's quieter. One tells me I'm a failure, one tells me I'm a king, One says I should leave, another tells me everything. I can't tell who's me anymore when I speak, Every thought got a shadow and it's following my feet. I sleep with the lights on, still darkness finds my face, Wake up from a nightmare just to find I'm still awake. Mirror looking back like it knows what I became, I ask it for an answer, but it whispers out my name. Every memory is twisted, every truth is out of place, And the voice inside my head keeps wearing my face. [Hook] [Low, haunting chant] Can you hear me? Can you hear me? There's somebody inside… And he's calling my name. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? I keep running from myself… But I'm never far away. [Verse 2] Now the voices got opinions on the people that I love, Telling me they never cared, telling me I'm not enough. I know they're only thoughts, but they sound just like the truth, And the more I try to fight 'em, the more they change the rules. I walk outside smiling like there's nothing underneath, But I'm carrying a war that nobody can see. Everybody says I'm quiet, they don't know I'm screaming loud, There's a thousand different versions of me fighting for the crown. One wants redemption, one wants revenge, One wants to disappear, one refuses to bend. I'm the king of my mind, but my kingdom's in flames, And every throne I build gets surrounded by my pain. Maybe I don't need to kill the voices, maybe I need to understand, Maybe they're just broken pieces reaching out for my hand. But tonight they're getting louder, and they're crawling through the walls… I close my eyes and hear them— [Whisper] “We were here all along.” [Hook] [Low, haunting chant] Can you hear me? Can you hear me? There's somebody inside… And he's calling my name. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? I keep running from myself… But I'm never far away. [Verse 3] I am the question asking questions to the answer that I buried, while the answer wears my face and tells the question I'm unworthy. I'm a hallway with no doors, every door becomes a mirror, every mirror grows a mouth, every mouth makes the voice clearer. I count backwards into forwards, lose the middle of the meaning, hear tomorrow in the static, see the past beneath the ceiling. There's a stranger in my shadow, but the shadow knows my childhood, and the child inside the stranger keeps insisting that I'm not good. I split myself in fragments just to watch the fragments argue, one says, “You're still alive,” the other whispers, “Why would that matter?” Then another voice interrupts: “You're the voice that started this,” now I'm listening to myself accuse myself of what I did. Every thought becomes a courtroom, every memory a witness, I'm the judge, the jury, the victim, and the criminal in attendance. I sentence me to silence, then the silence starts screaming, so I run from what I'm thinking only to find what I'm thinking. There's no monster in the closet— I'm the monster and the closet. There's no ghost behind the curtain— I'm the hand that keeps it moving. I don't know if I'm awake, I don't know if I'm dreaming, I don't know if these voices are destroying me… Or simply screaming because nobody ever listened. [Hook — whispered, layered] Can you hear me? Can you hear me? There's somebody inside… And he's calling my name. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? I keep running from myself… But I'm never far away. [ Outro] The room goes quiet. For the first time… no voices. He stares into the mirror. And the reflection doesn't move. Reflection: “You don't have to do this.” Silence. A knock at the door. Then another. Voice outside: “Open the door.” The mirror cracks!!
