There is so much more For this earth to go through Before the unkind human Is finished with it But finish it he will Of that we can be certain And those of us who try To thwart him Are trapped In a sort of madness That continues every day No energy Only knowing What we can't do Not what we can Knowing what we can't feel anymore Wondering what we should feel And perhaps knowIs it nature or nurture That will cost our future Taught to be Anything but Free You'll get by I\f you comply Do what you're told Buy what you're sold No relief Only grief Staring at the moon And missing life's tune Not wanting to listen Only looking for things that glisten Bargain basement time No taste for the sublime What a Crime ! It’s a crying shame Who do we want to blame And it’s in our nature we say But the truth is far away That's the game we play Nature carries healing In her being So long ignored By those so badly flawed Once cherished and revered Now her work is interfered Nature can redeem us But wishes she never dreamed us When ancient creatures crawled back from the sea Searching for safety Would they ever believe Could they conceive The last of their kind Wiped out by selfish tiny minds Caught in this barren land So far from her gentle plan
