[Verse] Under the banners where laughter spills The village hums with songs and quills Jesters juggle beneath the oak tree wide A turkey leg My scepter My pride [Chorus] Oh the Renaissance The Renaissance fair Where time stands still and joy fills the air Minnesota’s finest A realm of delight Raise your goblet Dance through the night [Verse 2] Armor clinks as knights take the field Steel meets steel No sword will yield Maidens giggle behind lace fans Ale flows faster than an eager man’s plans [Prechorus] Hear ye Hear ye The merriment calls From castle gates to market stalls [Chorus] Oh the Renaissance The Renaissance fair Where time stands still and joy fills the air Minnesota’s finest A realm of delight Raise your goblet Dance through the night [Bridge] Pickled herring and a bard’s tall tale Magic potions sold in a gilded pail The queen herself She waves her hand A thousand cheers across the land
