Paw gets a haircut from Ma
[Verse] Mama stood there in the kitchen, hands on her hips, Said, "Paw, your hair’s a mess, it's time for a snip." Paw just grinned and tipped his old straw hat, But Mama wasn’t laughing, she wasn’t having that. [Verse] She grabbed her sharp scissors, gleaming in the light, Said, "I’ll cut it myself if you won’t do it right!" Paw bolted from the table, quick as a hare, And Mama came chasing, scissors in the air. [Chorus] Round and round the house they flew, Paw dodging Mama, like he always knew. But in the end, she caught him fair, And Paw sat still for Mama’s chair. [Verse] She cornered him by the old oak tree, Said, "You can’t run forever, you’re stuck with me!" He laughed and said, "Alright, I’ll take my fate," And she snipped and trimmed ‘til it looked first-rate. [Bridge] The kids were peeking through the window frame, Laughing at the haircut game. Mama wiped her hands with a satisfied grin, While Paw said, "Next time, I’ll give in." [Chorus] Round and round the house they flew, Paw dodging Mama, like he always knew. But in the end, she caught him fair, And Paw sat still for Mama’s chair.
