Life hits like a boot to the ribs, forty‑something and still taking hits. Thought we’d be wiser by now, but people still mirror you just to tear you down. They say “oh I walk dogs too” — but it’s just a mask they glue. I’ve been drunk‑loved, used, left hollow, bruised, confused. And every time I trust a soul, they slip inside my bones, turn my quiet into shadows they carry as their own. I’m a wounded bird with electric bones, flying crooked through the undertones. Every heartbreak leaves a psychedelic stain, but I rise again, even when they kick my brain. I’m a wounded bird but I still glow — even shattered wings can steal the show. They pick you ’cause you’re gentle, they pick you ’cause you’re kind. They mirror all your hobbies just to colonise your mind. I’ve been the joke, the jealousy spark, the midnight cry in a narcissist’s dark. But I keep walking forward, even limping through the shards. And every time I open wide, someone tries to climb inside, but I won’t let them twist the tide — my broken heart still has pride. I’m a wounded bird with electric bones, flying crooked through the undertones. Every heartbreak leaves a psychedelic stain, but I rise again, even when they kick my brain. I’m a wounded bird but I still glow — even shattered wings can steal the show. The colours blur around me, the daylight bends and frays, Broken drifting, heart still lifting, pain shape‑shifting, but I’m still existing I’m a wounded bird with electric bones, flying crooked through the undertones. Life is painful, brutal, strange — but I rise again through every chord change. I’m a wounded bird but I still glow — even shattered wings can steal the show. I’m walking through the wreckage of my past, every promise made of glass. People mirrored me to break my shine, left fingerprints across my spine. But even when the colours run, I still rise like a twisted sun — burning in a crooked way, but burning anyway.
