[Intro - spoken, rain, distant thunder] (FRANK and JENNY stand facing each other in the rain. Neither moves.) JENNY (spoken): ...It's raining. FRANK (spoken): Yeah. JENNY (spoken): We should go. FRANK (spoken): ...Yeah. We should. [Verse 1] (FRANK holds out his jacket.) FRANK: Take my jacket, go home, I'll be right behind you (JENNY pushes it back. Neither takes it. Both get soaked.) JENNY: Keep your jacket, go home, I'll be fine right here [Verse 2 - the argument, speeding up] FRANK: Come on, turn around now JENNY: No, you turn around first FRANK: Go on, say goodbye now JENNY: No, you say goodbye first FRANK: Well, after you JENNY: No, after you [Pre-Chorus - the count] (They speak at exactly the same time.) BOTH: Let's count to three and walk away! BOTH: Great minds! (They turn back to back.) BOTH: One... two... three... (Silence. Only rain. One half-step in a puddle, then nothing. They are facing each other again. They start laughing.) [Chorus 1 - the proposal] (FRANK stops laughing first.) FRANK: Come home with me JENNY (spoken): What? FRANK: Come home with me FRANK: I mean, come live with me JENNY (spoken): ...really? (JENNY's eyes fill. FRANK hands her the excuse.) BOTH: Our feet keep moving and we don't know why (FRANK spins her through a puddle.) BOTH: We could dance until the sunrise BOTH: we could stay out here until dawn BOTH: There's nobody waiting up BOTH: there's nowhere we have to be (They slow down, out of breath. The rain comes back into earshot.) Two drips fall from an eave.) JENNY (spoken): ...it stopped. FRANK (spoken): ...yeah. (Neither of them moves. There is no weather left to blame.) FRANK (spoken): Come on. JENNY (spoken): ...after you. FRANK (spoken): No - together.
