The Sandwich Thief

[Verse] Oh I sat by the dock with me lunch in me hand A sandwich so grand The best in the land The waves kissed the shore The gulls sang their tune Then up crept a rascal A thievin’ raccoon [Prechorus] His eyes were like lanterns His paws swift as sin He snatched up me sandwich with a devilish grin [Chorus] Oh that sneaky little thief That bandit in fur With a wiggle and a jiggle He left in a blur I shook me fist high But he danced to the trees That raccoon stole me sandwich Oh what a tease! [Verse 2] He scurried away through the nettles and brush I chased after him with a holler and a rush The tin whistle wailed as I stumbled and tripped While he laughed from the shadows The sandwich half-nipped [Prechorus] I swear on the sea I’ll have my revenge That sandwich was mine You thievin' scavenge! [Chorus] Oh that sneaky little thief That bandit in fur With a wiggle and a jiggle He left in a blur I shook me fist high But he danced to the trees That raccoon stole me sandwich Oh what a tease!
