[Verse 1] work in the morning alarm to sound waking up early I’m up now I got one thing on my mind Last day of the week [Pre-Chorus] Can't sleep in Gotta go to work Hands on the clock now Let the pressure blur I’m on the grid I’m about off the grind I’m leaving that rush Way behind [Chorus] Thank god it’s Friday Thank god it’s Friday Thank god it’s Friday The day won’t let me down [Verse 2] Phone on silent Shoes by the door I’m not racing anyone I’m not chasing more Best part of the week Is the part that slips away [Pre-Chorus] Hands on the clock now Let the pressure blur I’m on the grid I’m about off the grind I’m leaving that rush Way behind [Chorus] Thank god it’s Friday Thank god it’s Friday Last day of the week! Thank god it’s Friday Thank god it’s Friday The day away won’t let me down [Bridge] Let the whole world spin I’m not catching up I’ve been running hard Now I’ve had enough One more deep dream One more warm bed Weekend on my side That’s all I need [Chorus] Thank god it’s Friday Last day of the week! Thank god it’s Friday Weekend on the way Thank god it’s Friday The day won’t let me down!
