[Bridge] God set a time for everything For everything on earth We may not know the when or why We cannot guess its worth We must accept things as they are whether good or ill Knowing that they happen in accordance with God’s will. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant or clear; A time to kill, and a time to heal; For courage and for fear. A time to break down, a time to build; A time to weep or laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. They’re just things on our path. A time to gather, a time to cast; A time to hug or shun; A time to search, and a time stop, To know when it is done; A time to keep, and a time to trash; A time to rip or sew; A time for silence, a time to speak. To share what you may know Last of all there’s a time to love, Though we sometimes choose to hate There’s a time for war, and a time for peace. Let’s hope it’s not too late. [Bridge] God set a time for everything For everything on earth We may not know the when or why We cannot guess the worth We must accept things as they are Whether good or ill Knowing that they happen in accordance with God’s will.
