YOUNG PROFESSOR. 6. Shake it loose (SONG FOR Dad)

[Verse 1] Friday punched the clock and ran With a paper ticket in my hand Met you by the corner store Both of us were ready for more [Pre-Chorus] Your red scarf flying in the breeze My old coat caught upon the trees We laughed so hard we missed the train Then chased it down the lane [Chorus] Shake it loose, shake it down We're the loudest mess in this whole town Shake it loose, lose your mind Leave your worries and your shoes behind (one more time!) [Verse 2] At the hall the queue went round Someone's uncle brought a drumkit sound The ticket man said, "Move along" But we were humming every song [Pre-Chorus] The curtain rose, the room went wild You grabbed my hand and grinned like a child When the first chord hit the floor We couldn't stand still anymore [Chorus] Shake it loose, shake it down We're the loudest mess in this whole town Shake it loose, lose your mind Leave your worries and your shoes behind (one more time!) [Bridge] Friday night, don't let it end Bring your brother, bring your friend If tomorrow calls too soon We'll keep dancing past the moon [Final Chorus] Shake it loose, shake it down We're the loudest mess in this whole town Shake it loose, lose your mind Leave your worries and your shoes behind (one more time!) Shake it loose, shake it down Raise the roof and rattle this town Shake it loose, lose your mind Friday's ours and the night is kind [Outro] La-la-la, the hall is bright See you at the concert Friday night La-la-la, come sing along Everybody's right where they belong
