VAYU SAGE has been meditating for a very long time.

Long enough that the temple around him forgot it was a temple and dissolved gently into the air, leaving him sitting on nothing, in nothing, surrounded by a warm low hum that the universe came to recognise as his.

His robes are embroidered with concentric sound-rings. The rings expand as you look at them, then expand again, never reaching the edge of the cloth. The halo behind his head is not a symbol. It is the gourd of his instrument. To play the Halositar he does not move — the halo does the playing, and he does the being.

Warm Static is what is heard when his meditation is finally tuned correctly. It is not silence. It is what is left when everything else has agreed to be quiet.
