[Verse 1] The moon’s the only witness The greatest storyteller yet Whispering her secrets Reminding us of stories we to often forget. If People could stop for just a little while Call to mind the things we heard Love one another better. Not give Darkness the last word. [Verse 2] The moon would smile again As only the moon knows how to do And we’d remember Christmas What it means to be true [Chorus] Come home. Light something. Feed somebody. Give something away. Remember the absent. Forgive those we can. Make the darkness beautiful. Be Gods gift to man. [Verse 3] Shine your light upon us You’re the only one who sees everything that happens And everything as one. Shine on us like moonlight Eyes open wide enough to see The truth about our nature and Who we really want to be. [Chorus] Shine. Ahhhh ah ah Shine. Ahhhhhh ah ah Shiiiiiiiiiine. [Bridge] Come home. Light something. Feed somebody. Give something away. Remember the absent. Forgive those we can. Make the darkness beautiful. Be Gods gift to man. [Final Chorus] Shine on us like moonlight Eyes open wide enough to see The truth about our nature and Who we really want to be. Shine.
