[verse 1] I found my work badge lying dusty in the drawer What on earth did I keep it for Then it gradually came back to me I lost my job, I lost myself, and now I'm free They made sweeping changes to the agency Like there was a sense of urgency I used to have a desk in that office We were doing well and making a profit [Chorus] POTUS Power has grown so loud Grover Cleveland would be proud Melania, what you thinkin' about Sort this POTUS Power thing out [Verse 2] Those changes were sweeping through Nobody knew what to do We all got laid off from work Our pensions were the only perk. We worked hard for the United States We thought we had friends We thought we had mates But the changes swept along We knew that something was wrong. [Chorus] POTUS Power has grown so loud Grover Cleveland would be proud Melania, what you thinkin' about Sort this POTUS Power thing out [Outro] I had to hand back all the keys It was a total government freeze I shut the Oval Office one last time POTUS Power was mine Then it gradually came back to me I lost my job, I lost myself, and now I'm free.
